The Capital & Space Planning office coordinates and collaborates with many campus stakeholders to provide leadership, direction, and support in three primary areas:
- Capital planning
- Review of proposed major capital intake submissions from campus operating units
- Review and shaping of the draft annual capital budget and capital plan
- Support and/or leadership of stakeholder planning committees, including the Physical Plant Planning Group (3PG), and capital approval committees, including Project Approvals Coordination (PAC) and Capital Funding & Priorities (CF&PC)
- Space management and planning
- Leadership of space utilization studies and space needs analyses
- Establishment, maintenance and promotion of space-related processes, policies, and guidelines
- Leadership and support for space data definitions, data integrity, and institutional space reporting
- Individual project leadership for major capital projects executed under the direction of the Provost
